9:41 PM ● hello laziness my dear old friend

i slept for eleven hours last night. i fell asleep at five-ish last night and didn't wake up until the following morning at six. i'm not sure if i was either that tired or i just was so bored i didn't have anything better to do. i'm assuming it's all of the above, plus the fact i'm grumpy lately.
work, gym, sleep-- repeat. this is my life. sometimes i forgo the gym and just end up working and sleeping. next week i'll do something different, only because i have a midnight showing ticket for harry potter and the half blood prince.
yeah, that's right... i geeked-out and bought a midnight showing ticket. followed by one for the following evening. it's harry potter! i've been waiting for years for this movie! i deserve to see it twice! or at least that's what i kept telling myself as i forked out another $13 to the movie theatre. in reality, the fourteen year-old at the cash counter was probably trying hard not to laugh at me as i protested these thoughts out loud.
embarrassingly enough i think at one point i nearly shouted that i was twenty one and i was allowed to watch harry potter as many times as i wanted.
hi, my name is brittany woods and i'm socially retarded. would you like to be my friend?

so many holidays to take, not enough time! or money. the money one is certainly the issue... i have plenty of time in between classes. HA! as if my mother would let me step a foot out of this house if i had class the following day. forget that.
but anyways, a run down, if you will of the holidays i would take in a heartbeat if i had the funds and a mother who didn't care so fiercely.
new orleans for the voodoo festival (halloween) JANES ADDICTION! KISS! KINGS OF LEON! MUTE MATH! JUSTICE! HALLOWEEN IN NEW ORLEANS! there isn't a wrong word there.
california or mississippi with the fam-jam in december
new york in the fall because it's pretty and to see my lovely new yorkian <3
australia for new years (it's summer there, yo!)
alabama anytime of the year to see my 'bamian <3

enough about that. it makes me sad that i can't take half of those holidays. i think i'm only allowed to go to mississippi/california since that's a family trip over my semester break. BOO URNS!

-- i think i need to clear the air. my last post was a tiny bit angry with sytycd. i'm still somewhat dissapointed with the lack of, for lack of a better word, fire, in this season. but the last few weeks have changed my mind, albeit minimally. uh, hi? the vampire dance to 'eyes on fire'? pretty much made my twi-obsessed heart skip a beat. the love lockdown dance with the chain? wow.
yet, both dances that blew my mind ended up being bottom 3 couples. why? BECAUSE AMERICAN'S ARE FUCKED. this is the only reasoning i can see beyond a catastrophic telephone outtage in the greater american continent and only one vote came through or aliens who steal satellite signals are watching sytycd and dialed the wrong number. or they have a personal aversion to a blonde and a hawaiian or kanye west and metal chains.
either way, the results show was BOGUS. i was so unhappy. that chain dance was probably the best i've seen all season, and i would know because i'm a so you think you can dance coniesuer having watched every season (minus three because i was too cool).

i'm just throwin' it out there: canadian television programs suck. this is why canada is better. we're not tied down by sitcoms or dramedies. you know there's something wrong with your television programming and writing when the best show you have on is hockey night in canada. not to mention the program with the highest ratings.
i'll elaborate more on why i say this eventually. right now i'm being sucked into a lyrical jazz routine. later days chumps.

xxxxxx
